Universal Orlando Educational Programs
Universal Studios has created a wonderful curriculum encompassing all of the areas of industry that make Universal Studios the unique experience that it is. This curriculum includes various tours and workshops in the science and technology behind the park’s attractions, special effects of the movies, the business behind a major theme park, the culinary ventures, performing arts, finance, career development, and a look into guest services. The educational programs also offer one hour programs which use performing arts to teach about real occurrences in the past such as the story of Anne Frank, a story about the struggle and sacrifice for civil rights in 50’s and 60’s America named The Right to Dream, and a story about a rural mid-western family that suffered through the Stock Market crash of 1929 called Journey From the Dust. Also, take a look into the world of energy alternatives and how they may change the face of the planet with GE Ecomagination. |

Behind the Scenes Tours

Behind the Adventure A Science and Technology Tour of Islands of Adventure
|
Students are now given the opportunity to discover the sciences behind their favorite
attractions at the world’s most technologically-advanced theme park. This behind the scenes tour, The Behind the Adventure
Tour, showcases the physics and other sciences that went into creating the most popular rides at Islands of Adventure.

Special F/X Tour Discover the Secrets of Movie Magic
|
If art and movies make-up and set design are what light the fires of the students, then
this is a great program. This program is newly redesigned and interactive. Students will learn the sciences and arts
that create the magic of the movies. Main features of this program are a behind-the-scenes look to Revenge of the Mummy. |

School of Rock
|
This tour includes access into the heart of what makes the hospitality industry run
on a day to day basis. Students will tour the Hard Rock Hotel and learn what makes the business run, what challenges
are involved and what career opportunities await them in the industry. Lunch, prepared by one of the executive chefs,
is included with this program. |

The First Hand Learning Series (1 hour programs, start time can set to meet the needs of the group)
|
Acclaimed experts share some of the secrets of their trades. These one-hour programs provide
students with an insiders look at different careers and how their classroom lessons apply to the real world. |
Ride Design
|
This program includes in-depth discussions of the ride and attraction design process.
Students are introduced to engineers from Universal Creative and are taught about the technologies used in present rides
and innovative technologies that will develop the rides of the future. Give your students an eye opening experience with
the Ride Design Program at Universal Studios. |

Marketing and Sales
|
Marketing and Sales are the invisible forces that make Universal Studios
the powerhouse in family entertainment that it is. In this program, students will be introduced and become
familiar with some of the methods used to promote the resort. Topics in this program include advertising,
promotions, brand marketing and marketing research. |

Culinary Arts
|
Behind great resorts and theme parks are the chefs that feed their guests.
Take a tour of many of the professional kitchens and learn about careers in the culinary arts. Students will
learn the ins and outs of the industry and what it takes to be a great chef. Lunch is provided on this tour
including a slice of pizza from one of the kitchens toured. Lunch and Learn pizza parties are available for
the younger students. |

Get a step ahead of the rest with the optional programs
offered through Universal Studies in the areas of Finance, Career Development, and Guest Service. Students
will learn about careers in these fields and what is involved in preparing for this line of work. Students
will also learn what it takes to make a great candidate for a career in guest services. |

Performing Arts Workshops
|
Performing Arts are very important in the entertainment industry. Universal Studios has
some of the best shows available to guests at any given moment of the day. In this program, students will learn techniques
used in training for shows and the industry of entertainment through the performing arts. Choose from Audition Technique
or Improv Technique. |

The Right to Dream
|
Witness a young man’s coming of age as
an African-American in Mississippi during the 1950’s and 1960’s. This live performance tells a compelling story about the struggle and sacrifice for civil rights in America. This program illuminates the
issues of civil rights, leading audiences to understand how the fight against prejudice has

Anne Frank: Through the Eyes of a Friend
|
Anne Frank was a brave young girl whom documented her experiences running from the Nazis of war time Germany. This moving program is a poignant portrait of friendship and survival, brought to life through the eyes of Anne Frank’s best friend. This live performance allows audiences to witness the pain, loss
and hope of young people during the Holocaust. Date: TBD |

Journey the Dust
|
Share the story of America's families confronted by the stock market crash of 1929 and the Dust Bowl.
Struggling to keep his family together, one young man experiences the loss of his home, the Separation of his family, and
economic prejudice. Travel hundreds of miles from Oklahoma to the Grand Coulee Dam; discover an American tragedy and the courage to

|
Learn about finding energy alternatives such as wind and solar power,
reduction of emissions and cleaner water. Topics include Environmental Science, Invention and Innovation,
